A TRUE FOLDING BOAT… The K-Pak
The Folding Boat Company’s goal was to offer quick and easy access to the water in a boat that is durable, versatile, agile, stable, and comfortable to operate. Our patented design includes an internal anodized aluminum frame which folds inside our tough, light weight, urethane coated, high tenacity polyester boat skin. The boat's frame is already inside the skin so assembly is simple and quick, just 4-5 minutes. The bottom of the frame nests between a pair of inflatable tubes. This provides a cushion, (and flotation), so your able to bounce over rocks and logs should you need to. The rigid frame also provides you with firm purchase when entering or exiting the boat and allows for accessory attachments.
Keep it simple… Think of the K-PAK as a tool, with multiple uses in multiple environments.
Use the backpack your boat is delivered in to explore hard to reach places. It's a great boat for fishing, hunting, photography, sight-seeing, or just a fun paddle on lake, stream, or ocean.
This rugged, super stable, unbelievably comfortable boat has been towed behind 60 pound halibut and some not-so-happy salmon in Alaska. This very same boat can be used to fish fast running mountain streams for bass, trout, or walleye. Use the backpack (your boat is delivered in) to hike into a highland lake or bicycle down to a sandy beach to explore.
Explore… These boats are durable!
Our custom fabrics are made from high tenacity polyester with urethane (not PVC) laminates. Our hulls have been tested over thousands of rocks and logs on mountain streams and lakes from Alaska to North Carolina.
Relax… Reduce the hassle of getting on the water
Eliminate the laborious hauling and tie down of heavier hard surfaced boats, which typically require a roof rack or trailer.
You can take your K-Pak with you anywhere
Have boat, will travel. Unfold your next adventure!
Instead of the canoe perched on saw horses taking up space in the back yard, K-PAK owners can have several boats tucked in the closet, the trunk of a car, on a shelf in the garage or RV; portable and ready to go.
